Well, I thought I would join the world of tasseling. I already had the topper from a previous project...(already painted black), so I started from there. Hot glue gun...check....ribbons...check....left-over fringe...found it....check.....OK ready to tassel
Put the finishing touch by painting a "B"....now it is hanging proudly in our bedroom.
Well, since I made one....gotta make another one, right? My niece's birthday would be the perfect time to make another tassel. Same style...just different ribbons.
Well, I did spice it up alittle with the polka dots....pretty cute for a six year old.
Hi Tonya! You did great on your tassels! I love them. My maiden name began with a "B" so I could use one, right? :) Both tassels are really cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in to see me today.
be a sweetie,
shelia ;)
Aren't tassels a lot of fun to make. I always have such a great time. Both of yours are just fabulous. Love them. Hugs, marty
ReplyDeleteHi Tonya...
ReplyDeleteOooh...what pretty tassels! I have been seeing everyone around Blogland trying their hand at making these...I need to get in gear! Hehe! They are fairly expensive to buy and probably much cheaper to make! I love that you painted your family monogram on them...that's the "icing on the cake"! I'm sure that your neice will just adore her gift...what little girl doesn't like pink and pretty ribbons, right? Thank you for sharing your pretties with us!
Well my friend, I just wanted to come over and meet you after reading your very sweet comment that you left on my Spring Green vignette! Thank you so much for coming by and thank you for adding Happy To Design to you list of blog follows! I'm truly honored! I am also adding your delightful blog to my list! I have just spent the last half hour going through some of your past posts. Girl, I am loving all of those adorable bunnies at your place! You really do have a fabulous collection! I also really enjoyed your new Spring mantelscape! I love the red transferware...it's my favorite dishware and I have started to collect it! Oooh...and I love your pretty Easter tree and all the bunnies! Your mantel looks gorgeous and ready to see the Spring season in!
It's so very nice to meet you, Tonya!
Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design
What great tassels! I especially love the one for Sarabeth. I bought a little bunny today at Hobby Lobby to go on top of a new one. I was planning on making you one for your birthday, but now that you know how to make them, I'll have to think of something else...:)
ReplyDeleteHi there - thanks for stopping by tonight! You asked about my cloche - isn't it something? It is like Marty's rooster one, but with the scroll detail - here is the link to the on-line store where I purchased mine -

I have thoroughly enjoyed it - it doesn't "sway" or "bell" in too much like some I have and is wide and high enough without being too high - if any of that makes sense? ;-)
You have a lovely family and your tassels are very pretty - they can certainly be addicting - I've learned that the hard way!
Enjoy your night -
Beautiful tassels. I don't know how to make them, but I have bought a few. Have to have tassels in the south and monograms. You have both in one.
ReplyDeleteYour tassels are so pretty, Tonya! Thanks for coming by. I bought the cloches last year from a local decor shop here.I have to add, you have a lovely family....Christine
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job! I still haven't figured out how to make them. :)

ReplyDeleteOh how pretty! Love both of these -- I can't believe I don't have one -- need to do something about that one of these days!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, you are doing a fab job ! I love the monograms !
