Tablescape Thursday~ Groom's Table

I had the pleasure (and the little bit of stress) of decorating the Groom's Table at my brother-in-law's recent wedding on Sept. 22. 2009. He is all about farming and all the things that go with farming. The bride wanted a chocolate fountain (no complaints from me!!! I would take a bath in it if I would fit!!!), so we got all the goodies to dip into the chocolate: marshmallows, pretzels sticks, strawberries, and grapes. I put the pretzel sticks in wide-mouth Mason jars and tied raffia around them. I used my pewter platters for the food items. The pulled-backed ears of corn came from my other brother-in-law's field. All of my brother-in-laws farm except for Mr. Hubby, he missed out on the farming genes!!!!
The florist made the stick arrangement with hanging votives...I cannot take credit for that! I placed burlap as an overlay on top of the white tablecloth. I used floral picks purchased from Hobby Lobby at half price of course to add to the fall theme. Of course, the Farmall tractors belong to the groom.

The happy couple tasting the cake and sneaking a little kiss too. :) No, I did not make the cake!

Sorry this photo is a little blurry....full view of the groom's table. My sister-in-law Bethany helped me arrange the table. It turned out really good and really showcases his personality. Thank you for stopping by,,,be sure to check out all of the other tablescapes on Between Naps on the Porch. Thanks again.

  1. Beautiful table. You did such a wonderful job. I love that you used burlap, that is so appropriate with the tractors. It looks like they are so happy. Congratulations to the newlyweds. Hugs, Marty
