Foodie Friday~ SunDrop Cake.....Yummie

Mr. Bunny knows how yummie and moist this cake is, so he is guarding it with his life!!!

Little background info on Sun-Drop......It is produced in the South and a few places in the Midwest. It is a citrus based soda (has orange juice) and high in caffeine. It is highly addictive....trust me! Sun-Drop is the kind of drink that you will drive from store to store UNTIL you find a ice-cold CAN Sun-Drop.....trust me I have done it several times! Now, I take a little cooler when we go places. :) Als0, we stock up when we go on vacation....like several 12 packs! My doctors have told me to not drink it because of the caffeine, but I have cut down a lot. It is just soooo yummie. Just think how excited I was when I discovered this cake with my FAVORTIE soft drink!

Sun-Drop Cake

1 lemon cake mix

1box instant lemon pudding

3 eggs, beaten

3/4 cup oil

12 oz Sun-Drop (I guess you could substitute Mt. Dew or Mellow Yellow)

Beat all ingredients together. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Let sit for 10 mins before removing from pan (tip from my MeMaw). Pour icing over warm cake.

Icing

1 cup Powdered sugar

1 tbsp water (more or less)

dash of vanilla

Mix together and pour on warm cake.

Enjoy....this is a family fav of ours! Super moist and totally yummie! You will not be disappointed! After I had posted this....I thought I need to show a picture of a Sun-Drop. That is why the picture is out of order. There is no better way to drink and enjoy a Sun-Drop than with a straw. Thanks for stopping by.....going to get a piece of cake now! Be sure to check out all the other yummie treats.

chopped onion to taste
1 oz cream cheese
egg noodles
Boil chicken. Reserve chicken broth. Add noodles, cream cheese, shredded chicken, onion, and garlic salt to broth. Return to boil. Cook until noodles are tender. Enjoy!

Foodie Friday~ Sauteed Mushrooms

Start with fresh mushrooms.....washed of course!
Cook until very brown in color. I cook them in my Great grandmother's cast iron skillet....my grandmother is 93 years old. So, my skillet is OLD!!!!!!

Served them with homemade french fries (the only kind I cook), pasta, and hamburger steak with onions.
Sauteed Mushrooms
16 ozs fresh mushrooms
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1/4 cup butter
Wash the mushrooms and let drain. In a cast-iron skillet, melt the butter and add the remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mushrooms are very brown.
Enjoy!!
***Very tasty with steak and grilled hamburgers.
