Snow Villages

I thought I would begin my Christmas home tour with my Dept. 56 Snow Village collection. I have been collecting these beauties for about 15 years or so. My purchasing of them has slowed down a lot with two children and limited space. This curio cabinet is in our kitchen. At one time, it would light up, but it no longer works...boo hoo. The very top shelf is dedicated to Elvis. :)

This is the top of my hutch in the back foyer. I am able to light these houses. I love anything toile...notice the wallpaper.

This house is in the kitchen china cabinet. The owner of this house wrote "Twas the Night Before Christmas".

These houses are perched on top of my corner china cabinet in the dining room.

These are inside the corner cabinet cabinet.

These houses are nestled above the other china cabinet in my dining room. Notice the famous Ryman Auditorium on the far left side.

Recognize this famous house...for all of you GWTW fans! Scarlett and Tara are displayed in our bedroom.

Notice the small curio cabinet filled with GWTW ornaments from the Hallmark Store. I get the current ornament every year for Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by to see my houses inside our home. Hope you enjoyed the tour of homes! Check back for my visions of Christmas throughout our home.

Santa's Village

Wonder which one of the reindeer this one is....he is getting a snack before his busy night.
The kiddos with Frosty.....Caleb, Sarabeth, Frosty, Noah, and Rylee. A family Christmas tradition...taking the kiddos to Santa's Village every year for the past six years. Fun was had by all!

The girls decorating the tree....the prettiest tree on the lot. :) Bethany (BB), me, and Rachael (the newest sister-in-law)

Lights, Lights, and more Lights

Striking a pose inside the hotel....Me, Caleb, Rylee, and Gran (my mother). There are three or four HUGE conservatory type rooms decorated with live greenery, waterfalls, blooming flowers (lots and lots of poinsettias), twinkling lights by the thousands. It is a sight to see.....you are in awh with the beauty, time, and talent of the decorations.
My mothers loves these trees wrapped in lights, so she had to pose for a moment....SNAP!

The grand entrance to the hotel......in the center with all the lights are small waterfalls and a small pond. The lights reflect into the water.

This is a navitity scene in front of the hotel. While you walk and admire the beauty, the story of Jesus' birth is being played.

This is inside....perfect place for a wedding ceremony!

This is a stained glass inside a dome ceiling in one of the many lobbies.

Look who came to our house!!!

That's right...our little Elf friend from the North Pole came back this year to help Santa and me keep an eye on the boys! This was a gift last year from my dear friend, Charlotte. Rylee cannot wait until Tiny S. Tot comes to spy on him for Santa. Every night Tiny S. Tot flies back to Santa and gives him a report on the boys. Each morning, he is in a different spot....off on an elf hunt we go!!! You choose a special name for your Elf. Our elf's name is Tiny S. Tot.
Sarabeth, my niece, loves to look for Tiny S. Tot when she is at our house. So, this year for Christmas we gave her their very own Elf on the Shelf. She was sooo excited. I gave it to her early, so he could fly back to Santa and give him his report on Noah and Sarabeth.

The little rascal got into the ornaments I was making for Rylee's class for Christmas. Ya never know where he might appear next......in the Christmas tree, holding the TV remote (he was watching Christmas movies before we got out of bed), the middle of cookie crumbs!

Tablescape Thursday~ Christmas Elegance

Welcome to The Barnett House for Christmas supper....supper is waiting upon your arrival. We would like to offer a BIG thanks to our gracious hostess for Tablescapes Thursday, Susan, for giving us a reason to play with our dishes EVERY week. THANK YOU, Susan!!! Come on in and stay awhile.
Oops, I forgot to place your name card. Just take any seat. We are all family, so it does not matter where you sit. Dinnerware is not labeled. Purchased it off the internet about three years ago. Got eight- five piece place setting for about 50 bucks including the S&H.

Dimming the lights...just for a moment. Awwhhh, so relaxing!

This beauty was a steal a Hobby Lobby 80% sale about a year ago. Can you say, Lucky Dog?

I made this arrangement about three years ago. Sleigh came from TJMaxx and the reindeer came from The Dollar Store. Used a runner from Khol's and bunched up burlap.

Mr. Deer is striking a pose. Filled the tea glasses with loose filler beads from Hobby Lobby.

Place a shatter-proof ornament on each cup and saucer for an added touch.

The china cabinet at one end of the table. Decked out for Christmas too....notice the cloche? We read this book every year on Christmas Eve. It was a gift from the boys Aunt Di...it is a very beautiful book.
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out all the other wonderful and creative TT. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all.

Favorite Family Tree Ornaments

This was a gift celebrating our 1st Christmas together as Mr. and Mrs. Barnett.
I loved this ornament soooo much that I bought two of them...one to place on the tree and one to keep in the curio cabinet year-round. Our 1st Christmas as a family!

Just the four of us!

My Memaw Skeets made this ornament many years ago. I have about five of these in different colors and designs.

My mother is a two-time breast cancer survivor. This ornament is in honor of her.

Just some pretties hanging around a little blurry.

Ooohh..aahh!!! Beautiful santa ornament from Victorian Trading.

Another beauty from Victorian Trading....

I love getting Christmas ornaments every time I go on vacation or a special trip somewhere. Just a little reminder of the fun I had.
Also, I love all the ornaments that my precious kiddos make at school. I will cherish them always and forever. It was VERY hard to pick special ones to photograph!

Needless to say, I LOVE ornaments...little obsessed with them. We have 14 trees in our home. Most of them are LOADED down with ornaments. Love to see your favs.

Holiday Cloches

This is my china cabinet in my kitchen. I change out the top of it during the different seasons. This is a new display arrangement for me this year. Love the red and white transferware theme with a little bit of peppermint thrown in.
Not a cloche....bot I though Santa looked so Royal perched on top of the the tiered cake plates. Don't you agree?

Apothecary jar filled with fake snow, candy canes and shatter-free ornaments from Hobby Lobby.

Small bell jar filled with gold filler beads from Hobby Lobby on top of a red transferware saucer.

Apothecary jar (b-day gift from sister-in-law) filled with pears, gold glass balls and filler beads.

The combo together....
Thanks for joining me for Marty Holiday Cloche Party. Be sure to check out all the other great creations. Be sure to check back and see my holiday tour of 14 Christmas trees, Dept. 56 Snow Villages, Nutcrackers and twinkling lights. Happy Holidays!!
