Foodie Friday~ SunDrop Cake.....Yummie

Mr. Bunny knows how yummie and moist this cake is, so he is guarding it with his life!!!

Little background info on Sun-Drop......It is produced in the South and a few places in the Midwest. It is a citrus based soda (has orange juice) and high in caffeine. It is highly addictive....trust me! Sun-Drop is the kind of drink that you will drive from store to store UNTIL you find a ice-cold CAN Sun-Drop.....trust me I have done it several times! Now, I take a little cooler when we go places. :) Als0, we stock up when we go on vacation....like several 12 packs! My doctors have told me to not drink it because of the caffeine, but I have cut down a lot. It is just soooo yummie. Just think how excited I was when I discovered this cake with my FAVORTIE soft drink!

Sun-Drop Cake

1 lemon cake mix

1box instant lemon pudding

3 eggs, beaten

3/4 cup oil

12 oz Sun-Drop (I guess you could substitute Mt. Dew or Mellow Yellow)

Beat all ingredients together. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Let sit for 10 mins before removing from pan (tip from my MeMaw). Pour icing over warm cake.

Icing

1 cup Powdered sugar

1 tbsp water (more or less)

dash of vanilla

Mix together and pour on warm cake.

Enjoy....this is a family fav of ours! Super moist and totally yummie! You will not be disappointed! After I had posted this....I thought I need to show a picture of a Sun-Drop. That is why the picture is out of order. There is no better way to drink and enjoy a Sun-Drop than with a straw. Thanks for stopping by.....going to get a piece of cake now! Be sure to check out all the other yummie treats.

Cat between two trees....

Callie, our fat, fuzzy cat, has found a new place to rest....between two trees.
Notice that there are a few signs of Spring coming up......

Priceless Gift

I had a student that talked all the time...considered himself as the "class clown". Well, I was constantly telling him to be quiet or calling his name. I told him one day that I wish that I had a nickel for every time that I had to tell him to be quiet because I would be rich. Of course, I had to do a little explaining on why just a nickel. :) Well, as time went on.....I would call his name, and he would pretend to give me a nickel.
One Monday morning, he came in with a small gift bag. No special occasion...just because! I opened the bag and pulled out this jar full of nickels.....everybody...aaahhh!!!! I could not of asked for a more precious gift than my jar of nickels because the nickels represented something special between us. :) He told me that he searched all over the house to find enough nickels to fill the jar. He may have talked ALOT, but he was a precious and loving little boy....gave me hugs everyday. Just wanted to share my priceless gift.

SiLlY bAnDs

SiLlY BaNds are all the RAGE at the boys' school.....all the kiddos are wearing these bracelets that transform into some shape or another. While I was teaching, some of my students shared their sIlLy BaNdS with me....aahh how sweet! I have been wearing these bracelets for about 3 weeks now....the only times I have taken them off are to show other kids the different shapes. I had such a sweet bunch of students during my 8 weeks of teaching. :)
Here I am proudly wearing my SilLy BaNds!

Kiddos' Valentine Goddies

The kiddos scored BIG this Valentine's Day....their baskets were filled with Wii Rock Band game, iTunes gift card, and of course candy. Gran gave them each some money, and Grandmoma & Granddaddy gave them a Wal-Mart gift card and some candy.
